Oliva The town situated in the north of the island of Fuerteventura. It owes its name to ancient times where Fuerteventura was not an island as arid and La Oliva was populated with olive trees. It includes the municipalities of: Corralejo, El Cotillo, El Roque, Isla de Lobos, The caldereta, La Oliva, Majanicho, Tindaya, Vallebrón, Villaverde. The Oliva was the capital of Fuerteventura until 1880.
